This bench-mounted flaring tool forms SAE flares on soft copper, cupro nickel and steel brake pipes. It produces SAE flares only. SAE is commonly known as a double flare, while DIN is a single flare.
You can fit the tool in a standard bench vice or on its own purpose-built base plate. The brake pipe sits in split dies, which are held by an overhead locking screw on a swing clamp. Place the mandrill in its retainer, then use the cam lever to move it into the flaring position by hand.
You may need extra punch-and-die sets for other pipe sizes. For example, 6mm pipe needs BPF9 and 8mm pipe needs BPF10.
- Flare type: SAE (double flare) only

- Mounting: conventional bench vice or the dedicated base plate
