Intelligent Battery Charger 6/12v-4A

A smart charger for 6V and 12V batteries with a maximum charge power of 4 Amps. It comes with clamps and an O ring for connection. A built-in microprocessor monitors the battery level and adjusts the charge power so the battery isn't overcharged. That makes it suitable for vehicles in storage as well as routine top-ups.

Charging runs in three stages. In the bulk stage, a low or flat battery gets the charger's full charge power. At 80% the charger moves to absorption, cutting the power back so the battery takes a steady charge. At 95% it drops to float, a slow trickle charge. If the battery is left connected once it is nearly full, the charger automatically keeps it full without overcharging it.

An LCD display shows the current charge level. There are four charge modes: car, motorcycle, trickle and winter. Winter mode is for charging in cold conditions, when more charge power is needed. Trickle mode gives a slow charge to maintain and optimise the battery level.
