R-Clips

R-clips are spring retaining clips used to hold round shafts such as axles and clevis pins in place. Push the straight leg through a hole near the end of the shaft. The curved section in the middle of the bent leg then clips over the outside of the shaft and grips it, which stops the clip from working its way back out of the hole.
